Aqua Clear was appointed by Midlothian Council to investigate property drainage charges that had been in place since Cuiken Primary school was built in 2009.
Following receipt of a Letter of Authority, Aqua Clear carried out a desktop review, highlighting potential areas for savings and rebates. We carried out site visits with Scottish Water and submitted successful applications for drainage charges, water consumption and wastewater charges based on rateable value. Meter right-sizing and non-return to sewer allowance. Aqua Clear managed to obtain these savings and rebates even after we had another Company look at the same accounts earlier.
The council did a similar audit, with some success, a few years ago with a competitor of Aqua Clear but they also included electricity and gas. This time the audit was more in-depth as it was focused on water only and with the savings and rebates achieved has proved to be a great success.
