If you’ve got in touch with us then fantastic – if you decide to let us tender then we will look to set up a face to face meeting within a timescale that suits your business needs.
We always look to have a face to face meeting wherever your business is in the UK and will come to you. We can lead the meeting and gauge roughly what the business spend is on water and energy etc. We will also talk you through how and what we can do to help you save money through exposing incorrect billing, pinpoint present concerns, issues and potential solutions and discuss future-proofing to help with sustainability and ticking all the legislative boxes.
In most cases we find getting a Letter of Authority is the best route to making the most of our services – it allows us to really dig deep, mainly from interrogating historic billing and doing a desktop survey for the site, looking through O&M manuals and drawings, calling your maintenance team if you have one and looking into the layout of the business premises and grounds. We call this a Water Audit. We can also do this by aerial view and with our experience, can tell if you shouldn’t be charged for certain things that you are currently paying for!
When it comes to your consumption – once we know your process, we know how much should be used per year – so how much your business is supposed to use. We also look into your trade effluent (waste water bi-product of the work process) in a lot of cases.
The free of charge Audit results in a report and cost proposal detailing where you can save on water supply, consumption, waste water, fixed charges such as property drainage, roads drainage, GVR charges etc.
Our service is based on Best Value and Best Practice (in our experience our public sector clients, in the vast majority of cases are getting neither!) and we will tick both boxes laying out how you can reduce your annual water costs, fixed charges, energy and where there are pools/spas reduce chemical consumption too. We can also look into Return on Investment projects such as pool UV systems, backwash water recycling, soft start pumps etc.
If you decide you would like us to be your Water Management Specialists, we will agree on term and conditions. We usually work on a no win, no fee basis – so if we don’t save you any money, it doesn’t cost you anything. Alternatively, we can offer hourly, day rates or full contract costings.
We then act on your behalf to deal with your Licenced Providers and Wholesalers/Supplier and start submitting applications to deal with current charges, historic charges, fixed charges and incorrect billing etc We also arrange site visits to dye test drainage, check for leakage, meter rightsizing, water consumption and waste water management. We will do as many onsite visits as necessary and also accompany the Wholesalers/Suppliers survey teams to point them in the right direction etc) free of charge.
If we don’t get results, we don’t get paid so it is in our interest to make positive, lasting changes to your businesses water management. We are also a one stop shop, for example – if we uncover a leak during a process we would locate, cost and repair as part of our service and apply for burst allowances. We instruct our added value service providers and they bill us. Our aim to offer and create Best Value and Best Practice for all the business we service.
This isn’t an overnight job, it can take some time, but in our past experience it has always been worthwhile and we have made significant savings for all our previous clients and made sure their business is more sustainable for the future. (See SUCCESS STORIES).
